Center for Educational Research (CER) is an independent research and policy nonprofit that discovers effective solutions to problems regarding education system, strives to advance knowledge about education and promotes the use of research to improve it.
The mission is to provide evidence on which to ground education practice and policy and to share this information in formats that are useful and accessible to educators, parents, policymakers, researchers, and the public.
There is a noticeable lacking on information and resources as a base in our education sector’s rules and regulations which are rapidly changing and updating. So it’s a demand of time to establish and nurture a platform from which helpful assistance will be provided on the research and decision making of this country’s education sector, thus the effort came forth.
The change we want to bring about depends on a two dimensional theory. There is very limited evidence available on what really works for the betterment of the students and the education system as a whole and the evidence that does exist is often unused by the policy makers and out of reach from concerned citizens.
What we do is,
- Create quality evidence: We design studies to evaluate effectiveness of current educational policies and seek to uncover and disentangle causal mechanisms and determine which adjustments will make a policy more effective. We run projects researching on knowledge and findings from all over the world to develop new theories on effective educational policy for our respective region and people of it.
- Materialize evidences into effective policy and programs: We try to turn policy relevant evidences into practical programs with the help of policymakers to promote and facilitate adoption of the most effective solutions. We also make sure of proactive sharing of our findings through events, workshops and local media.
